There are several Ballantrae residents who have expressed concern for the many snakes that they have seen. One Castleway residents' dog was bitten by a venomous cottonmouth water moccasin that was underneath their grill. After 2 days in intensive care and not knowing whether or not their dog would survive, she luckily made it through the whole ordeal. It was very traumatizing for the family and of course very expensive. Because of the many snake sitings, we should be take precaution when outdoors with our children and pets. The snakes found here are said to be aggressive and highly lethal.
